Generate certificates
Certificates print on A4 landscape. In the print dialog choose Save as PDF to get a PDF. If they come out portrait, set Layout to Landscape.
Certificates from Excel / CSV
Make certificates straight from a sheet, without registering anyone. The first row must be headings such as Name, College, Department, Event, Position, Type, Start Date, End Date. Only Name is required; the settings below fill in anything missing. Names that match a registration for the same event use that participant's certificate number.
…or paste rows copied from Excel / Google Sheets

Data & backup
All data is stored only on this device, in this browser. Export a backup regularly — clearing browser data will erase it. Use Merge to combine backups from several phones into one.
The backup file holds all events, registrations, receipt numbers, issued certificates, settings, logos, signatures and certificate design. Copy it to a pen drive or laptop. Share backup can send it by Bluetooth or Nearby Share with no internet.
Automatic backup to a folder
Choose a folder on this computer, a pen drive or a synced folder. After every change the app writes nic-backup-latest.json there, plus one dated copy per day. Works in Chrome / Edge on a laptop or desktop.
Automatic copies on this device
The app keeps one copy per day for the last 14 days, and an extra copy just before any restore, merge or erase. Use these to undo a mistake. They live in this browser too, so they are lost if the browser's data is cleared. Keep exporting backups as well.
